Erik Assarsson, MD

Dr. Erik Assarsson is an esteemed board-certified Radiation Oncologist. He provides superficial radiation therapy for skin cancers at Aesthetic Dermatology Associates in our Media office. In addition to expertise in treating skin cancer, Dr. Assarsson specializes in the treatment of cancers affecting the prostate, lungs, breasts, gastrointestinal system, and brain. He has played a key role in advancing and implementing cutting-edge radiation therapies.
Dr. Assarsson graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) and completed a radiation oncology residency at UMDNJ-Cooper Hospital University Medical Center. He is actively engaged in both institutional and national clinical research trials. Dr. Assarsson is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American College of Radiology.
Alongside his work in our practice, Dr. Assarsson serves as Chief of Radiation Oncology at Bryn Mawr Hospital and treats patients at Riddle Memorial Hospital and Main Line Health Newtown Square.
